Explore your roots with the Armenia Service Program
The ACYOA Central Council is once again sponsoring the Armenia Service Program (ASP) for young adults 18-28. The trip will take place from June 29-July 19, 2012. Participants will have the opportunity to see much of Armenia and also serve the country in a variety of ways.
The ACYOA is again partnering with the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR), participants will spend a week in Gyumri working at the FAR soup kitchen, which serves the city's senior citizens, as well as work at the construction site of the Octet Music School which was destroyed during the 1988 earthquake.
Young adults from across the Eastern Diocese will tour ancient Armenia, seeing it's greatest religious and cultural sites; experience life in Armenia's capital, Yerevan, reflect on the shores of Lake Sevan, worship at Holy Etchmiadzin and much more.
The cost of the trip is $2700, which includes roundtrip airfare from New York, ground transportation
and transfers in Armenia, all tours, bilingual tour guide, lodging and two meals a day. The application deadline is March 1, 2012.
