ACYOA Chapter Workshop: January 14-16, 2011
Chapter leaders are encouraged to attend the ACYOA Chapter Workshop being held on January 14-16 at St. David Armenian Church in Boca Raton, FL. Now in its third year, the workshop is specifically designed for those who serve as executive officers of their local ACYOA chapter. It is also open to those who hale from parishes with no ACYOA chapter, but who are committed to establishing one. This is the perfect venue to get “how-to” information and ask questions about the functions and mission of the ACYOA.
This year, the Central Council has decided to get back to basics; the theme will focus on the Circles of the Cross, the ACYOA’s programming platform. Sessions will include presentations on each of the circles of the cross—worship, education, service, witness and fellowship—and small group work designed to assist chapter leaders in their year-long event planning. The weekend will also include daily worship, culminating with Sunday Badarak and the annual Saturday evening fellowship outing with members of the local St. David ACYOA chapter.
On hand for the weekend program will be the Very Rev. Fr. Nareg Berberian, the pastor of St. David Church, Rev. Fr. Hovnan Demerjian, pastor of St. Hagop Church in St. Petersburg, FL, ACYOA Central Council members and the ACYOA Executive Secretary.
