The New York Regional Committee is very excited to host this year's Annual General Assembly and Sports Weekend, from May 25 to 28, 2018.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age AND have graduated from High School prior to the 2017-2018 academic year in order to participate in this Weekend.

Note: Government-issued ID will be required at registration AND prior to admission at each evening event.

Clergy approval is required for all registered participants.

Hotel Reservations: All participants must make their own hotel reservations.  Upon registration, participants will receive an email with the link to reserve a room at the Hilton Garden Inn. Participants may book a room with two queen beds or one king bed for $209 a night plus tax.

Clergy Approval Required: Please note that all participants must obtain clergy approval to attend the Weekend.  [In the absence of a Pastor, the Parish Council Chairman can provide the approval.]  This policy is in effect to help ensure that those who sign up for the Weekend are members of the Armenian Church.

General Assembly

General Assembly will take place at St. Vartan Cathedral in New York City, and will be hosted by the ACYOA Central Council on Friday, May 25.

Please Note: If you are a delegate, please indicate it on your registration form. If you are not a delegate but still wish to be a part of General Assembly, you are welcome to be an observer. An observer will have a say during General Assembly but will not be able to vote. If you have any questions about General Assembly, you may email acyoacc@gmail.com.

Hotel

The Hilton Garden Inn New York/Midtown Park Ave will be the home to Sports Weekend this Memorial Day Weekend. If you are arriving by car, there are parking garages located nearby.

The Hilton Garden Inn is located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Make use of seven different subway lines, all within short walking distance of the hotel. Visit nearby attractions such as the Empire State Building, Fifth Avenue and Times Square/Broadway.

The Hilton is located less than 10 miles from Laguardia Airport and less than 15 miles from JFK Airport.

Offered amenities include flat-screen TV’s, complimentary WiFi, minifridges and coffeemakers, and a complimentary 24-hour fitness center.

Athletics

The sports competitions will be held on Saturday and Sunday at CUNY John Jay located at 524 West 59th St. New York, NY 10019

Sports include: Women's basketball, Men's basketball, and Co-Ed volleyball.

Note: All athletes must be registered participants of the weekend and purchase an Athlete's Package Plan. Stay tuned for the schedule!

Schedule of Events

Friday, May 25th

During the day, delegates will be attending the ACYOA General Assembly as well as the delegates reception in the evening.

Participants will have a free night to enjoy a night to explore all NYC has to offer!

Saturday, May 26th

Sports will begin at CUNY John Jay gym. Following sports, we will make our way to The Park Lounge at the Royalton with music from DJ GLO.

Open beer and wine bar from 9 PM to 11 PM. Cash bar all night 21+.

Sunday, May 27th

Church service will be held at St. Vartan Cathedral. Following church will be the sports finals at CUNY John Jay.

Awards Ceremony, dinner, and dance "Under One Roof, 50 Years at the Diocese" with The Yerakouyn Band will be held at St. Vartan Cathedral.
